Took ages to get to sleep last night- no idea why. Checked the postcode for my lunch meet -up with CL, and saw it was closed for holidays all week. Grrr! We decided to go anyway and try one of the pubs in the same village. Had an easy journey and arrived at the usual garden centre in good time. Picked up a voicemail from Green Thumb. Despite having been told they could advise on the bare patches in the lawn they obviously didn’t. Although I said I didn’t really want anything from the GC I ended up spending £50 (see blip). Their plants are good quality and very reasonably priced though so hard to resist.
We then adjourned to the pub. Not good! We both had a ploughman’s which ended up being half a baguette each with butter and cheddar, and a tiny bit of salad with a few grapes. We left the pickled onions and Branston. Had a nice long catch-up though. Easy journey back but poured with rain snout 5 minutes from home. Did some financial admin and fell asleep on the sofa!
