A detail of the former infectious disease hospital which has been very dilapidated for some time and last used for student accomodation.

On June 3 the building was squatted by a group who wanted to put up a book café and offer the space for noncommercial activity.

The planning section of the city's housing and building authority soon put an end to that. Locks were changed, windows covered and all entries to the building were blocked.

The building's disrepair is said to need a full appraisal by the time the lot and its surroundings come under planning.
