Blue Moon

A beautiful sunny day across Shetland, apart from Sumburgh, which was mostly cloudy and heavy showers at lunchtime.  A stunning evening, so calm.

A morning around the house, before setting off for work in the airport.  A 10am to 7pm shift.  Mostly working on the check-in desk, an afternoon working with oil and gas flights.  A barbecue at Madeline's after work.  Nipped down the road this evening, and popped by Laura's for a cuppa.  Feet up now.

I was worried I wouldn't see the Blue Moon tonight, the clouds were sitting on the horizon.  The moon slowly lifted above the clouds, and a stunning orange glow swept across the sea.  This was the point I found out my old camera really isn't up for the job anymore, thankfully the phone is fairly good at photos.  It certainly is once in a Blue Moon, next one probably will be cloudy.  Taken at Mail Beach, Cunningsburgh.
