Painted Lady
This Painted lady is a member of the Hibiscus family, not from Vegas or a carnival! We planted this beautiful Painted Lady Tree in our Courtyard in front of our home when we bought it 8 years ago. Three years ago, we lost it to a series of freezes. It was so large we could not cover it and it just could not rebound from the cold freeze. As it was a favorite of ours, we replanted the tree as soon as we could find a nursery that carried it. Then last year, this tree almost died because it had a rare fungus on the bark. It was very hard to treat and we were ready to reconsider planting another type of tree if it died. It was with joy that we saw the green leaves started to appear and now this is the first bloom! I just love this weeping hibiscus tree with its rosy pink blooms.
