Father and Offspring
Feeding Time
I chanced upon these Northern Cardinals (Cardinalis cardinalis) today. I sat and watched them for several minutes in amazement. I never realized that a parent will continue to feed its baby after it is able to fly, and presumably able to leave the nest. Dad actually placed the seeds in its offsprings beak. I'm guessing it's some kind of a learning curve thing?
