Eric
I had to go over to Sheringham this afternoon to pick up some dry cleaning. I was parked in the car park next to the station and as I got back to my car I heard a train coming in. Clearly, from the sound, it wasn't steam but I think Eric is a reasonable substitute.
Eric is a 'Class 14' that is nicknamed a 'Teddy Bear' by enthusiasts. It was built at the Swindon works where most of the iconic 'Great Western' engines were built and apparently it got its name when George Cole, a foreman at the works said "We've built The Great Bear, now let's build a Teddy Bear".
