Toulouse

My flight back to Edinburgh was not till early afternoon, so I got up early had a delicious hotel breakfast and headed to the Basilica de Saint Sernin. On the way there I passed so many homeless men and heavily armed police. Not what I was expecting on an 15 minute early walk to the church. Toulouse is a host city to the upcoming The Rugby World Cup and has seen rioting over the summer.
I continued to read Demon Copperhead on the flight , and then had a 2 hour drive back home.
I did some food shopping and arrived back home. It’s so hard to return home to a house without Cassie ( our beloved cat who died 2 weeks ago). My heart aches for the loss of her beautiful presence.
