My Shadow …

… in the grass behind our house, near the driveway late this afternoon.

Earlier we had a wonderful outing to the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary barely 15 minutes away. A bald eagle was keeping watch on the area, which featured very unusual visitors:  A group of four adult sandhill cranes which had been hanging out for several days.  We had last seen sandhills  years ago on trips to New Mexico, where they are a regular feature in winter.
