Plants Flashed ...

... this evening at exactly 8 pm outside our back door, following an uneventful day. (I think it's my first flash blip ever :)

The evening saw a significant event: Serena Williams entering her retirement, after losing her 3rd round match at the US tennis open in New York City. She and others spoke, the fans totally packing  the stadium applauded and applauded, she waved one last time, and walked off. After turning professional in 1995, she won 73 career singles  titles and 858 matches (23 titles in doubles).        An amazing athlete!
