The Bore Wave

Back to Arnside to watch the bore wave now we have a huge moon and spring tides.  It's not as big as the Severn bore but its big enough for lots to play on. And a lot bigger than it was in June.
After high tide, a few of us swimmers wooshed down the river , staying close to the shore so we could get out after about a km , walk back and do it again, and again!  (extra) No swimming needed, the current took us,  NB one of the swimmers is a coastguard volunteer here in Arnside and knows the currents very well, I stayed close to her.
