THE WHITE HOUSE
Well OK A White House, NOT THE White House!!!!!!!!
Usual weekly trip to Morecambe to see Mum today. Traffic was quite heavy but moving and not too awful. It was a lot busier than usual once we got to Morecambe because they have the annual "Vintage by the Sea" festival this weekend.
We decided to avoid The Prom totally today and took Mum to the The Bay View Garden Centre in Bolton-le-Sands but went via the A683 (The Bay Gateway link road) and through Slyne-with-Hest with no problem at all. We had decided to go early and just for coffee and nibbles due to this being the last Sunday before the schools return as it would be very busy. This proved to be a wise decision because whilst we sat the cafe filled up really fast and they were queueing as we left. The photo is the view from the café, so rather pleasant.
We then had a wonder around the garden centre, Mum bought some Cyclamen. The weather was warm and pleasant so it was a good day.
Once we took Mum back home Mum's neighbour (my Sister's boyfriend) popped round so we had a lovely chat. Then all of a sudden it was time to come home. Straight on to The Bay Gateway again and onto the M6. Still fairly heavy traffic but not awful, so no hold ups - yeah.
I've now booked us for a tour around Browsholme Hall on Tuesday as we've never been. It has very limited opening times, only Tuesdays in March, then only Tuesdays and Wednesdays from April through to end of September. It is in The Forest of Bowland not far from Clitheroe. So looking forward to that, I just hope it's not horrendously busy - although you do have to book the café as that does get extremely busy, so I suspect there will be quite a few people about.
