Today's the day ........................ for a Grand Opening

It was the official opening this afternoon of 'Coorie Doon', the new Moniaive Playcare  building - and to start off the celebrations, there was a Duck Race on one of the streams that flow through the village.  

The above was taken just after all the ducks had been dropped into the water.  That's Rob on the right, suitably dressed to send any reluctant ones safely on their way, down to the bridge that marked the end of the course.  There were generous prizes for owners of the winning ducks announced at the celebration Afternoon Tea and Cakes at 'Coorie Doon', that followed.   

Today was the culmination of lots of hard work, planning, designing and fund-raising over the past 11 years by the volunteer management committees of Moniaive Playcare.  It has been a tremendous achievement that will be benefit the community for many years to come ......................
