Callander Park
I have a clash between Cameron's archery and the Falkirk Parkrun - so it is a bit of a struggle to get to the Parkrun. Today, however, the archery range was closed because it was booked for another event, and so I was able to go to the Parkrun.
Callander Park is a lovely place, but when doing the run it's easy to overlook that, as you concentrate on keeping going, pretty much flat-out, for 5km. So today, on the way back from doing some shopping in town, I stopped at the park on the way home.
I don't think I had really appreciated just how pretty a place it is. Let's be honest, Falkirk is not famous for being attractive, but when you look at the park it is hard to see why. It's really pretty. This afternoon, it was full of folk enjoying the wonderful sunshine, whether on the benches around the lake or out on the pond, in the famous "swan boats".
A few more weeks of this weather would not go amiss!
