The Lost Chambers at Atlantis and Afternoon Tea

It's a hard life! There was a family fun day at The Lost Chambers so we decided since it is literally at our doorstep, to pop to Atlantis and check it out. It is basically an underwater aquarium to view. There were lot's of interesting crabs, eels, sharks, fish etc. Oscar was very stand offish with the big fish today. We took the approach of not pushing him but encouraging him to 'get closer' at his own pace. Stu sat down with him on the comfy cushions set out in front of the big perplex viewing panes. They spent some time just sitting, watching and chatting and Oscar's confidence definitely grew! They queued up to get their faces painted by Dr Seuss. Oscar wanted a shark and Bailee chose a whale. Part of the fun was to stay as still as possible!

After that, Bailee and Oscar coloured in two fishes and a shark between them with the help of 'Thing 2'. They stuck them to a giant sea mural on the wall. It looked fab! Meanwhile, Maple admired all the fish in the aquarium and had a little snooze in the sling :-)

We bought some yummy dates to share and headed home.

Uncle Rock came to visit and gave Oscar and Bailee a new t-shirt each from his recent trip to the US. It always makes me laugh how much the twins love clothes!

In the afternoon, I was in for a treat :-) I was invited to a babyshower for a friend from on the Palm. It was an afternoon tea at The One and Only, Royal Mirage. I went childless, which felt very strange. However, I had a wonderful time. The afternoon tea was delicious and it was great to celebrate Jill's up and coming second baby with the girls :-) The hotel was lush.
