MV Neptune at Whitstable

All the times we’ve been to Whitstable we’ve never seen a ship moor outside the harbour. It took them quite a bit of time and manoeuvring to come alongside. I heard on old salt on the dockside say that they’d been better waiting for the turn of the tide. I agree.

We had a day of jobs to do. Shopping, allotment, ironing and loads more until Susan said as it’s the first day of the new school year we ought to go out and enjoy it.

We did just that and had a wonderful day in warm sunshine and a cooling breeze. A coffee and afternoon tea rounded things off. The weather is set fair for the whole week - hot even, up to 30c by Wednesday.
