Cattails and spruce

I've blipped these before
but I think this one turned out particularly nice.
I was set to get out to the studio this morning for some more transcription practice but I slept really poorly last night and just didn't have it in me. I ended up sitting on the deck reading, which was just what I needed. It was very pleasant in the shade and some of the chickadees and sparrows were brave enough to pick at seeds while I sat out there.
I went to town at 1:00 to meet up with a friend from school. We sat at the library lawn, in the shade. They have nice tables to sit at so it was a perfect place to have a picnic and catch up. Then home for some potato digging and now for an early night. I will be at it tomorrow for sure :-)
