You Couldn’t Make It Up

But we will come to that later.

The overnight heat residue combined with a restless Paddy meant Mrs S and I were awake on and off, that combined with the effects of yesterdays exertions meant I struggled to get up.
Out and a quick stop at a well known franchise to book in the Polo for an exhaust check before heading over to Redruth to pay the 50% upfront costs for some replacement double glazing we are having installed. Next stop Camborne to enquire about some T shirts for the Epic Great River Race Team. They were polite as they declined, waving their arms to indicate a shop bursting with customers sorting out new school uniforms, it’s their busiest time of the year.
Breakfast at Amy’s Kitchen before arriving back home. Mrs S to get some sleep before her night shift, me to tackle the housework.

Mid afternoon the car was up on the ramp for its new £400 exhaust system when the power was cut to that section of the town. Although I am as partial as everyone else to some piece and quiet it’s irritating to see your car six feet off the ground with not much prospect of the ramp coming down anytime soon.
Eventually, after almost two hours, power was restored and I was on my way with a much quieter car that had doubled in value.

The evening was taken up with a two and a half hour rugby club meeting.
Productive - possibly, let’s see how the next month goes
