Calm

Another absolutely beautiful day...  warm.. sunny and still this morning. 
We sat outside with our morning tea in wonder as the peace of the day surrounded us.. glorious. Two herons took up positions on their rocks as the tide gently receded.
Today our guests did a sterling job helping us to clear the garden in order for the builders to turn up tomorrow. We are still hoping the painters might get to our house before the autumn storms too but at least the roof work will be done before they come. 
We took a trip into St Andrews which was very productive. We all came home with new things of one sort or another!!  Keys, shorts, hats and  birthday presents.. perfect. 
Supper was provided by our guests.. they had said they would like to take us out to dinner but we decided it would be more fun to eat lobster at home so that is what we did.. absolutely delicious and a real treat!
We are being blessed by the most wonderful weather.. at least 20C and so much more comfortable that it is down south.
