Library book

Spent all morning at Sian and Ian’s house waiting for the telephone engineer who was coming to mend the cable that Ian had accidentally cut through when pruning the roses! He was at school and Sian has set off on her jaunt to France. I was there at 8.00 and nobody had turned up by13.00 so I got the bus to go to the library to do my shift for which I was late!

It was my last shift as the challenge finishes very soon and the children are back in school but I had the most joyful time! Today I saw a young girl who had come to me each time she had read two books and today I gave her her last two stickers and a medal! I have a friend who works in the library who found this book for me which was by the writer of the Seven Sisters series. Posthumously published by her son!

I then came back and went to the tennis club to have a game of croquet and a gin and tonic with nibbles. Now time for bed!
