Premier performance
Wednesday lunchtime and the last lunchtime recital of the season was a duet of pianist and singer. One set of songs was from the turn of the 18th century and the other set was a premier performance of poems set to music by the pianist with the poet in the audience! The poet had written the poems to reflect her bicycle journeys through Dorset and Somerset during lockdown! Both sets were very interesting!
After the recital I went to visit Lilene again in the rehabilitation unit at mount Gould. Her son Roger was with her and we sat and chatted for a while and then the doctor was just about to arrive so I left them to it! She can go home on Friday which will be a big day. She does not have a toilet downstairs and is on water tablets for heart failure so that does pose a problem but her family will be coming to stay with her for the foreseeable future, taking it in turns to be there so she is not alone! The physio has got her the three wheeled Walker that is light and she is able to get it in the car. She will be so pleased to be home! I walked back which was not too strenuous!
Realised this morning that there was a leak from the water pipes into the hall which fortunately currently does not have a ceiling! Contacted the chap who put in my kitchen and bathroom and gopher will come round on Friday afternoon to have a look,
