Broken Wings

The warm weather and some judicious pruning has brought the butterflies back to our Buddleia. And as well as the Small Tortoiseshells we’ve seen previously, we also had a Red Admiral today. I didn’t think it looked quite right and closer examination revealed a crooked wing. It didn’t seem to be stopping it flitting around the garden through, so obviously not a major problem.
New fitness regime continued today with a joint PT session for me and Mrs C. Our trainer has changed his hours due to his daughter starting school, so we have gone from individual sessions on a Saturday morning every other week, to a joint session every Wednesday. Combined with the new gym programmes, I’m hoping it will move our fitness levels up a notch. But, boy, was it hot in there today! Definitely knew we’d had a good workout by the end of the session.
