After a bit of brain into action and reviewing information, it was just a case of working out the puzzle, and hey presto we found my 2xggrandparents grave. It was covered in ivy and brambles, which meant clearing it.
A trip to B&Q and nearly £50 lighter, we had the tools and gloves to tackle the job, but decided to go to the records centre of Kresen Kernow for coffee and a bit of mooching.
It’s a beautifully crafted building, created in the site of the old Redruth Brewery, and has retained the original chimney. I had a lesson on learning how to use the on-line maps and overlaying them with new ones to show how villages have evolved. A light lunch and then back to St Euny.
It took about an hour to clear the patch, with JJ doing most of the hard work, and this was the result.
I’ve added a few extras of the grave and Kresen Kernow.
