Puff balls

Growing on a tree trunk in the nature reserve where I have just agreed (with a friend) to take over from someone who is stepping down. I met thé Pro Natura representative there this afternoon and she explained to us our duties. We need to keep an eye on the area and cut down bushes etc as needed. We were surprised to find that there were two ponds in the reserve and we saw a grass snake in one of them.

Thanks for all your comments about the bouquetin that was shot yesterday…still can’t believe it.
