Belated Celebrations

As I couldn’t get to her party at the weekend, and as our Thursday sitter was on holiday and no replacement was available, S popped round for a couple of hours this afternoon, and we enjoyed a good old natter and a birthday drink and cake, or two!

Overnight showers left the garden bench coated in Saharan sand this morning, and even though it’s been overcast most of the day, the temperature reached 29 degrees, the humidity making it feel like an uncomfortable 35 degrees. And after nearly five weeks, the insurance adjuster called and declined our insurance claim for the damage caused by Storm Antoni. I now have yet another battle on my hands...
