Starlings

...are gathering. I saw these on the stay wires of some of the yatchs early this morning, walking through the marina towards the harbour and around Thorney Island. These birds were looking beautiful as the sunlight caught their subtle markings and golden colours.The cool and quiet of the early morning is quite special and well worth getting up for.

- the harbour at 7am, still and serene, just as the tide was receding and a pair of swans claimed the grassy island for the day.
