A morning exploring the different bits of town, from the tourist infested bits to the quiet back streets. It is a fascinating place, Trulli houses popping up all over the place, whole districts with nothing else then the odd one in between modern buildings. Most of the ones in the popular bit are now cafes, bars and tat shops, once we got out of there then it is much more residential. Sadly of course there seem to be millions of people whose sole purpose is to have a picture taken of them gurning in front of a Trulli or some other interesting thing. We have also become adept at spotting 'influencer poses'. Deeply disturbing.

This lady is one of several properly interesting people I saw (see extras), didn't mind me taking a quick shot.

We bought a print of a street in the Trulli from 1920, you can see the shot here . I went to recreate it but although the buildings are still there, they are all shops and it was full of people so I didn't manage to get it.

After all that excitement we came back, made lunch then spent the afternoon reading by the pool. We also seem to have been adopted by a kitten who we have named 'Alberto' (after Alberto Ascari).
