Broncroft Castle

Broncroft Castle is one of the three castles on the Corvedale Three Castles Walk. (11.5 miles) 

I have done the walk and it is a tester, with some uphill sections and wonderful Shropshire views at every turn.

Broncroft is not really a castle but a fortified manor now in private ownership.

The other two, Corfham and Corfton are earthworks of earlier structures and little can be seen now of what was once there. 

Today I have been in the garden mostly with D, who is helping us with a small project to improve access at the back door.

Much perspiration was shed on a day of stultifying heat. 32 degrees, and unbelievably stuffy.

But the cold shower and colder beer made it all worthwhile.
