Anachronistic
It was my (much older) brother James’s 80th birthday party today. We had to kill a bit of time on the way so we stopped at Blundell’s Cottage, a delightfully maintained 1860s farmhouse on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra.
All furnishings and household items on display were from the 19th century except one. Some might wonder whether it’s appropriate to have a model WW2 Lancaster bomber suspended from the bedroom ceiling in the cottage but I would argue Lancasters are appropriate in any setting. Anything with a RR Merlin would be acceptable , two even better but four of them, that’s magnificent!
