Fjord Viscount

Today's the day  . . . . . . to cast off

This is our home for the next week, a spacious, well-equipped narrow boat called the Fjord Viscount.

We set off today from Middlewich in Cheshire as we did in 2011 - and we're heading out on the Trent & Mersey Canal to arrive eventually in Stoke-on-Trent.   It's been very hot today but perhaps less so as the week progresses.  Undoubtedly, there will be lots to see including perhaps the odd kingfisher?   You can but hope.
