Homeward Bound

Left Cumbria in mist after a wonderful week. The journey went well until we reached Pickering. This is the street we usually drive up to reach home. Pickering Rocks had closed the street. Although not on the street where this was taken they had barricaded our street above where we live. I had to use my best persuasion to plead our case. Fortunately the barriers were parted and we reached home.

The hottest day of the year. I suspect there will some cases of sunburn tomorrow! Thank goodness we live in an old house with thick walls. We were able to hideaway from the heat this afternoon.
