Sommerfest

Every year my cousin has a big Octoberfest or Sommerfest.  His dad and my dad (brothers) immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1952, last name Sommer.  My parents have been looking forward to this day for months.  It was an hour drive away and car rides are not comfortable for them now and in the evening and they don't like to go out late but boy did they enjoy themselves.  Husband and I drove them to my cousins and many of their friends were also there.  This is a grandchild of my cousin, they were all in German attire and I just couldn't resist this shot.  It's late now so I will catch up the with journals in the morning.
