and on and on

Grab shot from the car window at 19.00, on the way to Didim with Nigel and Bev where, along with John and Janice, Sally and Alan we had a really enjoyable evening at Taj Mahal Indian cuisine restaurant where the food was as delicious as it always is. I reserved a table on the balcony so Rufus came too, and as always, he curled up quietly under the table for the whole evening. I continue to be amazed at this darling shelter rescue woofer.

This was at the end of a day spent oscillating between sorting out all the CODA* charity donation items from my neighbours and cooling off in the pool on yet another day nearer 40ºC than 30ºC.

The sculpture needs to be seen from a slightly different angle to be able to see how it fools the eye to make an excellent image of Ataturk (1881-1938), also known as the 'Father of modern Turkey'

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, or Mustafa Kemal Pasha until 1921, and Ghazi Mustafa Kemal from 1921 until 1934 was a Turkish field marshal, revolutionary statesman, author, and the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, serving as its first president from 1923 until his death in 1938. Wikipedia
