Last Day - Full Circle.

Some very good news received late at night. My infection markers, while still a little high, are low enough for me to switch to oral antibiotics. That means after 5 weeks in hospital, I get to go home. 

5 weeks ago, I was at the other end of this room expecting a routine operation. Full Circle. The suddenness of my departure meant I could not say goodbye to patients, a couple of whom were here for a long term, and staff who took good care of me.

There's still a long way to go.I have to get well enough to have a full hip replacement operation, which can only happen only infection markers are totally negligible.

It is nice to get home, and it is sunny.
