Coastal Sunday

Another early morning walk at Emsworth to try to avoid the heat. It was a little less sunny but still humid at 27 degrees. We wandered quietly and sat for a time watching children and dogs playing in the water, and people going out on paddle boards.

Soon after we returned it rained heavily for several hours. So I finished sharpening and oiling my tools before popping to the allotment to pick some vegetables. With the heat and rain everything is growing so fast I can’t keep it under control but that is fine for now.

Andy walked Merlin in the field so he could have a run but I fancied another walk by the sea. So in glorious evening sunshine I walked along the shore at Prinsted. I sat for a while basking in the warmth and enjoying the view across to Thorney Island. A satisfying way to end the day.
