Summerland Street

We had some rain in the early hours of this morning so the garden was looking refreshed when we woke up.  I was out to a morning Pilates class and once I had returned we headed into Exeter.  It's my husbands birthday soon and our daughters a little later so we were looking for presents.

We decided to use the park and ride but when we turned up there were very few cars in the carpark and we soon realised that the buses don't run on a Sunday.  So we headed into town and ended up using a different carpark.  We came across this scene as we walked into the city centre through the back streets and found it an interesting sight.  There was a Chinese cafe opposite and we thought we had stumbled on a small 'China Town' area.  Reading information on the internet however it seems there is a planning application in for redevelopment of this area into student accommodation or a co-living scheme.

We continued into the main town shopping area and were fairly successful in our purchases.  It was still fairly warm in the afternoon but temperatures began to fall as we headed back home to the coast.
