Rose

Another very hot day although it was a little misty first thing.  We both headed to the supermarket to get a food shop in and then returned home for lunch.  The temperature by now was 27C so still very hot.  

I visited a local villages Autumn Garden Show with exhibits of vegetables, fruit, flower arrangements, plants, cakes, jams and photographs.  This year the judge for the fruit and veg part was unable to attend but one of my friends had her friend staying over who was used to judging these events so he stood in as a favour.  We both gained some useful knowledge on the criteria used to judge produce as a result.  This rose is one a a small arrangement my friend entered, she has some lovely roses in her garden.

A interesting day but a hot one and rather a smelly one as they must be muck spreading in our local area.
