Perthshire Open Studios...

Well it turns out we needn't have cancelled our friends visit today as Alan has been on good form.  Too late to go ahead as I hadn't done any food prep (that was supposed to be yesterday's task.)  Oh well.

Alan had a very long lie in, catching up on lost sleep, woke up feeling refreshed I think as he's been on good form all day.  When Ali announced that she and Alan were going out, I suggested to D that we pay a visit to The Barn Gallery at the Bield, Blackruthven near Perth.  It's Perthshire Open Studios this weekend and the Festival showcase is being held at the gallery.  It was a good suggestion.

Funnily enough the Barn is where we bought the Green Man stone carving I blipped the other day.  Anyhoo, we had a lovely time.  Lots of inspiring paintings, sculptures, furniture, glass sculptures, jewellery, to name a few.  I need to be more organised next year and plan a day's trip around Perthshire to visit artist's studios.  
Lovely drive home in the sunshine through the leafy backroads.  Couldn't believe it when it turned really dark not long after we got home and the heavens opened. Oh well, it saved watering the garden.  Every cloud ;-))
