Camino Day 8

Another 14 miles down. Good day’s walking today through some lovely areas. Lots more pilgrims on the route today, felt a bit like a busy street in places. That’s due to the fact that a lot of people start from Vigo and do the last 100km and that the routes that start in Portugal are converging into one. I suspect it will get busier. We had an early start again, would have been earlier except for the fact that we walked out of our hostel, down the road and I realised I’d left my phone on a chair. Took us ages to get it, had to wait to see someone through the window get up and go into the communal area - too early for staff and didn’t want to wake everyone by leaning on the doorbell. Anyway, safely retrieved and set off. There were people along the way selling Mementos and drinks and stamping our pilgrim passports - a couple of bagpipe players too. Blisters squashed but intact. Some people along the route are very slow and look to be in some pain. Really respect them - they are keeping going. As are we!
