A beautiful white rose from the garden.
The weather here in Rishton Blackburn is wonderfully cool and there continues to be gentle rain.
The leaves on the pink hydrangeas are slowly turning to a russet Autumnal shade.
Our washer dryer has served us well for many years and today we are giving the machine a cleaning cycle to freshen it. Then if it smells clean, I hope to get on with the Monday washing.
Paul investigated the source of the bad smell and he said it was sourced from the rubber seal around the door. After going to Google, we discovered that wiping the seal to recover and clear out unhelpful particles from shed fabric and such like, the cure is to spray the seal with a solution of white vinegar and tap water. We are hoping this works.
It will soon be Escape to the Country, on BBC 1, and then time to read The People's Friend short stories before our evening meal.
