Welcome to Provence

Our journey started off well.
Sunshine and very warm until Lyon.
Things then started to go down hill!
" Deviation" Road Closed. Road works!!

After a hour nose to tail, and going round in a circle back to where we were about 5 miles before the road works, we got through Lyon, goodness knows how!!

Then as we got further south, the temperature started dropping, and it started to rain!
Down to 15c as we crossed into Provence!!

However as we got nearer to Vaison - la - Romaine and our destination, the sun came out and the temp. got up to 21c.
We felt much better!!

Frederique greeted us warmly. On the table there was wine, home grown cherries, and her homemade confiture de Mures. ( Blackberry jam)

How wonderful it feels to be back!
