Macbeth

After our late night ( early hours getting home !) and then being up and out by 9 for a commitment a quiet night in appealed. However we had booked tickets for RSC Macbeth. Luckily it was fast frenetic and odd enough to keep us awake. It’s probably my favourite Shakespeare play and I never tire of hearing all the familiar lines but R struggled a bit getting his ear in to the Scottish accents… the actress playing Lady Macbeth was an understudy’s understudy but she did really well.
I’m not sure about the staging and the odd modern political Porter’s scene but it certainly kept us awake!!!
