St Vaast la Hogue
We left Bayeux about 9:30 and meandered up to St Vaast on the recommendation of our landlady. As we drove the heavens opened but by the time we arrived it was just dull and overcast. We pottered around , enjoying this picturesque but authentic Norman fishing village ( oysters). After coffee we visited Maison Gosselin , 100 years+ old full of everything from household appliances to cheese and wine.
We then went onto Barfleur where we had a delicious lunch of moules/ frites, and looked around the village before driving out then walking to the lighthouse.
We’re now checked in for the crossing home in 90 minutes so should be home today… just!!!
