Cosy Couple

This lovely shield bug and his friend were having a cosy moment in the late afternoon sunshine!  They’re about as big as my thumb nail so nothing scary about them and I loved the pattern on his back ; ). Looks much better in Large.

Sweet Maggie the magpie at the riverside had no fear of the dog and allowed us to get quite close so I could take a shot before letting out a loud squawk which scared the dog and off she flew ; )
