Beinn Dearg and Cona Mheall…

looked superb from the road across Glascarnoch, but I was heading for the Droma Dam. Despite lower temperatures, started at 4° but rose to 14° and here about 11°, there were Common Darters, Carder and Whitetailed Bumblebees (although moving slowly) and butterflies flitting around. There was also Grey Wagtails and Swallows! Another good walking day, with things looking decidedly tawny and gold! The Birches are turning now and the lawn was covered in ‘gold coins’ this morning!
