The Altarstone Walk at Stobo

With the weather still summery, the daughter and I drove down to Stobo for coffee and then walked the Altarstone walk from the castle. It was a lovely walk through woods and meadows with wonderful views over the Peeblesshire countryside. It was a walk we never knew existed and felt very different to the one up the farm track from the castle to the hill loch which we usually do.

The sun shone making it hot on the walk and the ice cold lemon drink back at Stobo was just what was required. After another lounge about on an atrium sofa, it was time to say goodbye to the peace of Stobo and return home. The next time we come will be the end of next month and then there will be 6 of us.
Another lovely day chalked up in this late Indian summer.
