Ashland murals

Monday 4 September
Jen and Laura were returning to Wausau this evening, ready for Jen’s flight back to Atlanta tomorrow morning, and Laura being back to work tomorrow. However, we still had much of the day together, first visiting another fruit farm to try their apple cider donuts - yumm - then a short hike at Houghton Falls nature preserve, taking you out to another lovely view out on Lake Superior - see extra - and finally exploring the wonderful murals in Ashland. At this point, mid to late afternoon we said goodbye to the girls, and we headed to Meyers Beach and enjoyed a lovely couple of hours relaxing, walking on the beach - see extra - and a swim in the lake - and yes, even I made it in this time -extra for proof, a not very good quality shot from Roger’s phone. Then it was back to the camper for our last night.
