Hello Old Friend

I haven't seen the kingfisher all summer until today and I almost passed by without checking it out. To be fair it was a long way away and very small, just a bird shape on a branch. I continue to be amazed how much detail is recorded by modern cameras. This image is a crop yet I can still make out feathers and the eye.

I saw two cranes fly by and some wood ducks, but sadly my shots suffered from motion blur. I saw more wood ducks on the water. I'm still trying to figure out how to get closer without disturbing them.
