Semipalmated Plover in Flight

....along the Cape Cod National Seashore.

After a crazy week, we are now very pleasantly ensconced on Cape Cod for a few days of badly needed relaxation.  We headed out early this morning to go to Provincetown, which neither of has been to since we were kids and needless to say it is quite changed and has grown significantly, but still has lots of charm.  We lunched on Lobster Rolls, which were beyond delicious and got in plenty of walking. 

On our way back we stopped at one of the Cape Cod Lighthouses and then at a beautiful deserted beach.  It was just us, the sandpipers and a few of these Plovers.
