The Houseboat

We went to Kingston today to get some shopping done, and on the way back we stopped at the river to see what was going on there. There were so many swans, a huge flock of them all floating along together and getting hissy if a goose too came near.

Although it was not a sunny day as we have had all week, it was not too cold and there were many canoeists on the water and many families wandering along the towpath watching the water fowl.

I always look at the houseboats and wonder what it must be like to live on them permanently - I would hate it, particularly in winter, and I am sure I would feel very claustrophobic at times.
