Birthday Candle

My mother is 86 today.

We went to an Asian restaurant to celebrate. Usually she likes going there, but today she didn't want to come along and insisted that her birthday was tomorrow.

After some persuasion she finally agreed after all. When I told the staff at the restaurant that it's my mother's birthday, they brought her this plastic candle that opened up like a flower when lit. They even gave her a little present. Made in China, of course.
